WithT oroSmartPower™,youdonothaveto
listentotheenginespeedinheavyloadconditions.
SmartPowerpreventstheenginefrombogging
downinheavycuttingconditionsbyautomatically
controllingthemachinespeedandoptimizingcutting
performance.
IfT oroSmartPower™isdisabled,youmustregulate
thetractionpedaltokeeptheenginespeed(rpm)
highandconstant.Thismustbeperformedsothat
enoughpowerismaintainedforthetractionunitand
implementwhileoperating.Decreasetheground
speedastheloadontheimplementincreases,and
increasethegroundspeedastheloaddecreases.
Allowthetractionpedaltomovebackwardasthe
enginespeed(rpm)decreases,andpressthepedal
slowlyastheenginespeedincreases.Bycomparison,
whendrivingbetweenworkareas,withnoloadand
thecuttingunitraised,setthethrottleinthehighest
positionandpressthetractionpedalslowly,butfully,
toattainmaximumgroundspeed.
Beforestoppingtheengine,disengageallcontrols
anddecreasetheenginespeedtoLOWIDLE(1,000
rpm).TurntheignitionkeytotheOFFpositiontoshut
offtheengine.
Beforetransportingthemachine,raisethecutting
unitsandsecurethetransportlatchesonthewing
cuttingunit(Figure66).

therear,rightcornerofthemachineareconnectedin
paralleltoprovide12Vnominal.The12Vengine
alternatorchargesthesebatteries.
The24Vsystempowerstheengine-coolingfansand
hydraulic-coolingfans.The2small12Vbatteriesat
therear,leftcornerofthemachineareconnectedin
seriestoprovide24Vnominal.The24Valternator
chargesthesebatteries.
Thebattery-disconnectswitchislocatedattherear,
rightsideofthemachine.Thisswitchcanbeusedto
disconnectpowerfromthebatteriesduringserviceor
maintenanceprocedures.
