rightsideofthemachine).

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekey.
2.Cleantheareaaroundthelter-mountingareas.
3.Placeadrainpanunderthelterandremove
thelter(Figure132).
4.Lubricatethenewltergasketandllthelter
withhydraulicuid.
5.Ensurethateachlter-mountingareaisclean
andscrewthelteronuntilthegasketcontacts
themountingplate;thentightenthelteran
additional1/2turn.
6.Fillthereservoirwithhydraulicuid;referto
CheckingtheHydraulicFluid(page86).

7.Installthereservoirdipstickandcap.
8.Starttheengineanduseallofthehydraulic
controlstodistributehydraulicuidthroughout
thesystem.

theleveltotheFullmarkonthedipstick.

Inspectthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyfor
leaks,kinkedlines,loosemountingsupports,wear,
loosettings,weatherdeterioration,andchemical
deterioration.Makeallnecessaryrepairsbefore
operatingthemachine.
