themotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCK
position,engagetheparkingbrake,andlower
thehopper.
2.Shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.Allow
theenginetocool.
3.ReplacethefuellterasshowninFigure33.

Youcandrainthefueltankbyremovingitandpouring
thefueloutofthellneck;refertoRemovingtheFuel
Tank(page27).Youcanalsodrainthefueltankby
usingasiphoninthefollowingprocedure.

explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcandamageproperty.
•Drainfuelfromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Neversmokewhendrainingfuelandstay
awayfromanopename,orwhereaspark
mayignitethefuelfumes.

2.Shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.Allow

3.Cleanaroundthefuelcaptopreventdebrisfrom
gettingintothefueltank(Figure34).
4.Removethefuelcap.
5.Insertasyphonpumpintothefueltank.
6.Usingthesyphonpump,drainthefuelintoa
cleanfuelcan(Figure34).
7.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
