AdjustingtheLiftArm
Counterbalance
Youcanadjustthecounterbalanceontherearcuttingunit
liftarmstocompensatefordifferentturfconditionsandto
maintainauniformheightofcutinroughconditionsorin
areasofthatchbuildup.
Youcanadjusteachcounterbalancespringto1of4settings.
Eachincrementincreasesordecreasescounterbalanceonthe
cuttingunitby1.4kg(3lb).Positionthespringsontheback
sideoftherstspringactuatortoremoveallcounterbalance
(fourthposition).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecutting
units,engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
2.Insertatubeorsimilarobjectontothelongspring
endtorelievethespringtensionduringtheadjustment
(Figure34).
CAUTION
Thespringsareundertensionandcouldcause
personalinjury.
Usecautionwhenadjustingthem.
3.Whilerelievingthespringtension,removethebolt
andlocknutsecuringthespringactuatortothebracket
(Figure34).
