engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,andremove
thekey.
Drainandcleanthetankifthefuelsystembecomes
contaminatedorifthemachinewillbestoredforanextended
periodoftime.Usecleanfueltoushoutthetank.
InspectingtheFuelLinesand

ServiceInterval:Every400hours/Yearly(whichevercomes

Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits,
engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,andremovethe
keyfromtheignitionswitch.
Inspectthefuellinesandconnectionsfordeterioration,
damage,orlooseconnections.
DrainingtheWaterSeparator
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecutting
units,engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
2.Placeacleancontainerunderthefuellter.
3.Loosenthedrainvalveonthebottomofthelter
canister(Figure54).

2.Cleantheareawheretheltercanistermounts(Figure
54).
3.Removetheltercanisterandcleanthemounting
surface.
4.Lubricatethegasketontheltercanisterwithcleanoil.
5.Installtheltercanisterbyhanduntilthegasket
contactsthemountingsurface;thenrotateitan
additional1/2turn.
BleedingAirfromtheInjectors
Note:Usethisprocedureonlyifthefuelsystemhasbeen
purgedofairthroughnormalprimingproceduresandthe
enginedoesnotstart;refertoBleedingtheFuelSystem(page
27).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecutting
units,engagetheparkingbrake,andshutofftheengine.
2.LoosenthepipeconnectiontotheNo.1nozzleand
holderassembly.
