intakesystemforleaks,damage,orloosehoseclamps.
•Servicetheaircleanerattherecommendedservice
intervalorearlierifengineperformancesuffersdueto
extremelydusty,dirtyconditions.Changingtheairlter
beforeitisnecessaryonlyincreasesthechanceofdirt
enteringtheenginewhenyouremovethelter.
•Besurethatthecoverisseatedcorrectlyandsealswith
theair-cleanerbody.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecutting
units,engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekey.
2.Releasethelatchessecuringtheair-cleanercovertothe
air-cleanerbody(Figure51).
3.Removethecoverfromtheair-cleanerbody(Figure
51).
4.Beforeremovingthelter,uselow-pressureair(276
kPa[40psi],cleananddry)tohelpremovelarge
accumulationsofdebrispackedbetweenoutsideof
primarylterandthecanister.
Note:Avoidusinghigh-pressureair,whichcould
forcedirtthroughthelterintotheintaketract.This
cleaningprocesspreventsdebrisfrommigratinginto
theintakewhenyouremovetheprimarylter.
5.Removeandreplacethelter(Figure51).
