1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostop.
3.Checkthetireairpressurebeforeuse;referto
CheckingtheTireAirPressure(page77).
Note:Thetiresareoverinatedforshipping.
Adjustthetireairpressurebeforeoperatingthe
machine.
4.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevel;refertoChecking
theHydraulic-FluidLevel(page82).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoGreasingthe
BearingsandBushings(page63).
Important:Failuretoproperlygreasethe
machinewillresultinprematurefailureof
criticalparts.
6.Openthehoodandcheckthecoolantlevel;refer
toCheckingtheCoolantLevel(page79).
7.Checktheleveloftheengine-oillevel,andclose
andlatchthehood;refertoCheckingtheLevel
oftheEngineOil(page66).
Note:Theengineshipswithoilinthe
crankcase;however,checktheoillevelbefore
andaftertheengineisrststarted.

1.Loosenthe2boltssecuringthecontrolarmto
theretainingbracket(Figure3).

2.Removeanddiscardtheshippingbrackets.
3.Ateachcuttingunitliftarm,removethesnapper
pinthatsecuresthecaptotheliftarmpivot
yoke,andremovethecap(Figure4).
