StartingtheEngine
Important:Thefuelsystemautomaticallybleeds
itselfbeforestartingtheengineifyouarestarting
theengineforthersttime,theenginehasshut
offduetolackoffuel,oryouhaveperformed
maintenanceonthefuelsystem.
1.Sitontheseat,keepyourfootoffthetraction
pedalsothatitisinNEUTRAL,engagethe
parkingbrake,andensurethatthePTOswitch
isnotengaged.
2.TurnthekeytotheON/PREHEATposition.
Anautomatictimercontrolstheglowplug
preheatfor6seconds.
3.Afterpreheatingtheglowplugs,turnthekeyto
theSTARTposition.
Cranktheenginefornolongerthan15seconds.
Releasethekeywhentheenginestarts.If
additionalpreheatingisrequired,turnthekeyto
theOFFpositionandthentotheON/PREHEAT
position.Repeatthisprocessasrequired.
4.Runtheengineatlowidlespeeduntilitwarms
up.
ShuttingOfftheEngine
1.MoveallcontrolstoNEUTRAL,engagethe
parkingbrake,andallowtheenginetoreachlow
idlespeed.
2.TurnthekeytotheOFFpositionandremoveit
fromtheswitch.
CuttingGrasswiththe
Machine
1.Disengagetheparkingbrake,disengagethe
PTO,andraisethecuttingunits.
2.Drivethemachinetothemowingarea.
3.Parkthemachineapproximately6m(20ft)
offthefairway,facingtheintendedmowing
direction.
4.Lowerthecuttingunitscompletelywiththe
lift/lowercontrollever.
5.EngagethePTO.
Note:Thecuttingunitswillnotstart.
Note:Theenginespeedautomaticallyrisesto
highidlewhenyoulowerthecuttingunitsand
activatethePTOswitch.
6.Tapthelift/lowercontrolleverrearwardtoliftthe
cuttingunitstotheturnaroundposition.
Note:Tappingthelift/lowercontrollever
withoutholdingitraisesthecuttingunitstothe
turnaroundpositionandstopstherotationofthe
reelsuntilthecuttingunitsarelowered.
7.Usingthetractionpedal,approachthemowing
areaslowly.
8.Onceyoureachtheedgeofthemowingarea
tostartmowing,lowerthecuttingunitswiththe
lift/lowercontrollever.
Note:Practicetoensurethecuttingunitsdo
notlowerearlyormowanunintendedarea.
9.Completethemowingpass.
10.Whennearingtheoppositeedgeofthefairway
(priortoreachingtheedgeofthemowingarea),
tapthelift/lowercontrolleverrearwardtoliftthe
cuttingunitstotheturnaroundposition.
11.Performatear-shapedturntoquicklylineupfor
yournextpass.
12.Pressthelift/lowercontrollevertoautomatically
lowerthecuttingunitsfromtheturnaround
positionandcontinuemowing.
13.Aftermowingthedesiredarea,followthe
perimeteroftheareatocompletethecleanup
mowpass.Thiswillensurethatalloftheturf
alongtheedgeofthefairwaywherethecutting
unitswerebeingliftedandloweredisuniformly
cut.
Note:UsetheVirtualPedalStop(VPS)to
temporarilysetalowermaxspeedtoimprove
operatingcontrolwhilecompletingthecleanup
pass;refertoUsingtheVirtualPedalStop(VPS)

DieselParticulateFilter
Regeneration
Thedieselparticulatelter(DPF)ispartoftheexhaust
system.Thediesel-oxidationcatalystoftheDPF
reducesharmfulgassesandthesootlterremoves
sootfromtheengineexhaust.
TheDPFregenerationprocessusesheatfromthe
engineexhausttoincineratethesootaccumulatedon
thesootlter,convertingthesoottoash,andclears
thechannelsofthesootltersothatlteredengine
exhaustowsouttheDPF .
Theenginecomputermonitorstheaccumulationof
sootbymeasuringthebackpressureintheDPF.If
thebackpressureistoohigh,sootisnotincinerating
inthesootlterthroughnormalengineoperation.To
