OperatingtheMachine
•Ifanobstacleisintheway,liftthecuttingunitsor
mowaroundit.
•Whentransportingthemachinebetweenwork
areas,shutoffthePTO,andraisethecutting
unitstothefullyupwardposition.Thisallowsthe
tractionpedaltooperatelikeacar.
•Alwaysdriveslowlyinroughareas.
PracticeOperatingtheMachine
•Togetfamiliarwiththefeaturesofthemachine,
practiceoperatingthemachine.
•Liftthecuttingunits,disengagetheparkingbrake,
presstheforwardtractionpedal,andcarefully
drivetoanopenarea.
•Practicedrivingthemachine,becauseithasa
hydrostatictransmissionanditsfeaturescandiffer
fromotherturf-maintenancemachines.
•Practicemovingforwardandreverse,andstarting
andstoppingthemachine.T ostopthemachine,
removeyourfootfromthetractionpedalandletit
returntoNEUTRAL.
Note:Whengoingdownhillinthemachine,you
mayneedtousethereversepedaltostop.
•Practicedrivingaroundobstacleswiththecutting
unitsupanddown.Becarefulwhendriving

UsingtheTractionPedal
Thispedalcontrolstheforwardandreversespeed
ofthemachineandthedynamicbrakingwhenyou
returnittoneutral.

•Whiletransporting,thetractionpedalwilloperate

stop.
