1.Throughtheopeningsinthebackofthesteering
wheel,releasethelocktabsofthecentercoverand
removethecoverfromthewheel(Figure3).

2.Removethelocknutandwasherfromthesteeringshaft
(Figure3).
3.Alignthesteeringwheelontothesplinesofthesteering
shaft(Figure3).
Note:Positionthesteeringwheelontheshaft
sothatwhenthetiresofthemachinearepointed
straightahead,thecrossbeamofthesteeringwheelis
horizontalandthethickerspokeofthesteeringwheel
ispointingdown.
4.Assemblethewasherandlocknutthreadsofthe
steeringshaft(Figure3).
5.Torquethelocknutto24-29N-m(18-22ft-lb).
