ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Whenperformingroutinemaintenanceand/orengine
diagnostics,thetransaxlemustbeshiftedintoneutral(Figure
51).Thevehiclehasaneutralpositionontheshiftlever,
whichcontrolstheneutralinthetransaxle.Thefollowing
stepsshouldbetakentomakesurethattheneutralshiftlever
operatesthetransaxleneutralcorrectly:
1.SettheshiftleverintotheNeutralposition.
2.Ensurethattheneutralbracketisintheneutralposition
(leveltothecablemountingbracketlocatedbelowthe
shiftbracket)byturningthedrivenclutch(Figure51).
Note:Thevehicleshouldnotrollbackandforth.Ifit
does,manuallymovetheneutralbrackettotheNeutral
position.

5.Pulluponeachshiftcableanensurethatthereisa0.76
to1.52mm(0.03to0.06inch)betweenthenut/washer
andtheneutralbracket(Figure52).

thespeciedgap.
