cablebeforedisconnectingthepositive(red)
cable.
•Alwaysreconnectthepositive(red)batterycable
beforereconnectingthenegative(black)cable.
•Alwayskeepthebatterystrapinplacetoprotect
andsecurethebattery.
WARNING
Batteryterminalsormetaltoolscouldshortagainst
metalvehiclecomponents,causingsparks.Sparks
cancausethebatterygassestoexplode,resulting
inpersonalinjury.
•Whenremovingorinstallingthebattery,donot
allowthebatteryterminalstotouchanymetal
partsofthevehicle.
•Donotallowmetaltoolstoshortbetweenthe
batteryterminalsandmetalpartsofthevehicle.
1.Squeezethesidesofthebatterycoverandremovethe
coverfromthetopofthebattery(Figure40).
