orwithamilddetergent.Aragmaybeusedwhenwashing
themachine,howeverthehoodwillloosesomeofitsluster.
Important:Donotusepowerwashingequipmentto
washthemachine.Powerwashingequipmentmay
damagetheelectricalsystem,loosenimportantdecals,
orwashawaynecessarygreaseatfrictionpoints.Avoid
excessiveuseofwaternearthecontrolpanel,engine,
andbattery.
Storage
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,rotatetheOn/OffswitchtotheOffposition,
andremovethekey.
2.Cleanthedirtandgrimefromtheentiremachine,
includingtheoutsideofthecylinder-headnsofthe
engineandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotusepowerwashing
equipmenttowashthemachine.Pressurewashing
themachinemaydamagetheelectricalsystem
orwashawaynecessarygreaseatfrictionpoints.
Avoidexcessiveuseofwaternearthecontrolpanel,
lights,engine,andthebattery.
3.Inspectthebrakes;refertoInspectingtheBrakes(page
43).
4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAirFilter
(page29).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoLubrication(page28).
6.Changetheengineoil;refertoChangingtheOil
(Models07266TCand07279)(page30)andChanging
theOil(Models07273and07273TC)(page31).
7.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTireAir
Pressure(page21).
8.Forstorageover30days,preparethefuelsystemas
follows:
A.Addapetroleumbasedfuelstabilizer/conditioner
tofuelinthetank.
Important:Donotstore
stabilizer/conditionedgasolineover90
days
Followmixinginstructionsfromfuelstabilizer
manufacturer.(1ozpergallon).
Important:Donotuseanalcoholbasedfuel
stabilizer(ethanolormethanol).
Note:Theuseoffuelstabilizer/conditioneris
mosteffectivewhenmixedwithfreshgasoline
andusedatalltimes.
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystem(5minutes).
C.Shutofftheengine,allowtheenginetocool,and
drainthefueltank.
Note:Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleas
accordingtolocalcodes.
D.Starttheengineagainandrunituntilitstops.
E.Choketheengine.
F.Startandruntheengineuntilitwillnotstartagain.
9.Removethesparkplugsandchecktheircondition;refer
toCheckingandReplacingtheSparkPlug(page32).
