2) Level
This displays the AppleTalk network number of this equipment.
3) Device Name
Enter the device name of the equipment that will be displayed in the AppleTalk network.
4) Desired Zone
Enter the zone name where the equipment will connect — if required. If you leave an aster-
isk in this field, the equipment will connect to the default zone.
Setting up the Rendezvous
In Rendezvous, you can enable or disable the Rendezvous networking that is available for Mac
OS X.
1) Enable Rendezvous
Select whether the Rendezvous is enabled or disabled.
2) Link-Local Host Name
Enter the DNS host name of this equipment.
3) Service Name
Enter the device name of this equipment that will be displayed in the Rendezvous network.
Setting up the LDAP Session
In LDAP Session, you can enable or disable the LDAP directory service.
1) Enable LDAP
Select whether the LDAP directory service is enabled or disabled.
2) User Authentication
Select whether the LDAP authentication is enabled or disabled. If this is enabled, the screen
to enter the user name and password will appear when pressing the [SCAN TO E-MAIL]
button on the Control Panel.
NOTE:
The LDAP Attribute used for User Name and Password must be fields that are not
encrypted on the LDAP server.
3) Attribute type of “User Name”
Enter the attribute type that will be used for an authentication of “User Name”.
4) Attribute type of “Password”
Enter the attribute type that will be used for an authentication of “Password”.
