3. SWITCHING TO THE ENERGY-SAVING MODE
Switching to the energy-saving mode is available only when one the following options is installed.
- Fax board
- Printer kit
- Printer kit and scanner upgrade kit
- Printer/scanner kit
If you are not going to use the equipment for a while, press the [ENERGY SAVER] button on the control
panel for a few seconds to enter the energy saving mode.
In this mode, the display and lighted button on the control panel are turned off and the [ENERGY SAVER]
button lights in green. To start the equipment again, press the [ENERGY SAVER] button (or [COPY],
[SCAN], [FAX], [e-FILING], [START] button on the control panel). (To enable the [SCAN] button, optional
printer/scanner kit or both printer kit and scanner upgrade kit is required. To enable the [FAX] button,
optional FAX board, printer/scanner kit, or both printer kit and scanner upgrade kit is required.)
* In the energy-saving mode, when a job for printing, Fax, Internet Fax or E-mail is received, the equipment
becomes automatically ready status.
