Application Button
Lock Switch
This switch locks the Power, TOSHIBA Assist
and TOSHIBA Presentation buttons in order to
prevent them from being accidentally slided or
pressed. Slide the switch to the left to lock the
Power, TOSHIBA Assist and TOSHIBA
Presentation buttons.
TOSHIBA Assist
button
By default this button will automatically launch
the TOSHIBA Assist application, although you
can use the TOSHIBA Controls utility to specify a
different application if required.
Please note that, if the computer is switched off
into either Standby Mode or Hibernation Mode,
you can press this button to automatically switch
the computer on and launch the configured
application.
TOSHIBA
Presentation button
You can use this button to quickly and easily
cycle between using the internal display only,
displaying the same image on the internal display
and an external monitor, or to use the multi-
monitor display function within the Windows XP
operating system. The default setting for this
function is 'Presentation (Same Image
1024x768)', whereby the same image will be
displayed on both internal and external displays
at a resolution of 1024x768 pixels.
When using the 'Presentation (Different Image)'
setting you are able to have different views of the
operating system on the internal and external
displays, for example to use the monitors in a
side-by-side configuration to simulate a wide-
screen environment.
Please note that this feature is only supported
within Windows XP and you are able to specify
the exact function of TOSHIBA Presentation
button within the TOSHIBA Controls utility.
