3.2 Using the CLI
3.2.1 Enabling MLD Snooping Globally
Step 1 configure
Enter global configuration mode.
Step 2 ipv6 mld snooping
Enable MLD Snooping Globally.
Step 3 show ipv6 mld snooping
Show the basic MLD snooping configuration.
Step 4 end
Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Step 5 copy running-config startup-config
Save the settings in the configuration file.
3.2.2 Enabling MLD Snooping on the Port
Step 1 configure
Enter global configuration mode.
Step 2 interface {fastEthernet
port
| range fastEthernet
port-list
| gigabitEthernet
port
| range
gigabitEthernet
port-list
| port-channel
port-channel-id
| range port-channe
port-channel-list
}
Enter interface configuration mode.
Step 3 ipv6 mld snooping
Enable MLD Snooping on the specified port.
Step 4 show ipv6 mld snooping
Show the basic MLD snooping configuration.
Step 5 end
Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Step 6 copy running-config startup-config
Save the settings in the configuration file.
The following example shows how to enable MLD Snooping globally and enable MLD
Snooping Switch#configure
Switch(config)#ipv6 mld snooping
Switch(config)#interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/3
