Bar Mixer Shower
12
Important
The mixer shower has a temperature stop
to prevent accidental rotation to higher
temperatures. This is adjustable to provide a
maximum temperature of 35°C – 46°C.
The mixed water temperature can be adjusted
from cold through to a top limit (which can
be pre-set during installation – factory set
at approximately 38°C) with full anti-scald
protection throughout the range.
Should there be a loss of ow to either incoming
supply then water from the shower will stop or
be reduced until both supplies are restored.
Recommended Outlet Temperatures
The BuildCert TMV scheme recommends a
maximum mixed water outlet temperatures of
41°C for showers.
The mixed water temperatures must never
exceed 46°C.
The British Burns Association recommends 37°C
to 37.5°C as a comfortable bathing temperature
for children.
Adjusting the Maximum Temperature
Override Setting
Remove the temperature control by removing
the end cap then unscrewing the retaining screw
(g.12).
Remove the plastic adaptor from the
temperature spindle then turn the flow
control to full flow. With a steady flow
running, adjust the temperature valve spindle
until the temperature is about 38°C.
When you are satised with the temperature turn
the ow control off. Ret the plastic adaptor and
temperature control, secure with the screw and
replace the end cap.
