Wetanddrysaunasareformsofbathingthatoriginatewayback
inhistory.Thesehotsaunabathsarebestenjoyedattemperatu-
resof60-90°C.
PRIOR TO USE
The rst time you use the heater
Fill the stone compartment
NOTE! Always use dolerite stones (TylöHelo Sauna
Stones). Ordinary stones may damage the heater.
Do not use ceramic stones. Ceramic stones may
damage the heater. The heater guarantee does not
cover damage caused by ceramic stones.
USE
Setting the temperature
The thermostat dial shows a rising heat scale. Find the sauna
temperaturethatsuitsyoubest(usually60-90°C).Youcanthen
leave the temperature setting at this level.
Fill the stone compartment around the heating elements from the
bottomtothetop,toapprox.50mmabovethetopfrontedge.Do
notpressthestonesintoplace.Capacity:Approx.7kgofstones.
Placethestoneslooselytoallowoptimumaircirculation.Thetubular
elements must neither be squeezed together nor against the side.
The sauna stones:
• musttolerateextremeheatanductuationscausedbywater
being poured on them.
• must be cleaned before use.
• musthaveanunevensurface,sothatthewaterclingstothe
stonesurfaceandevaporatese󰀩ciently.
• must be 30-50 mm in size to allow air circulation in the stone
compartment. This will increase the life of the tubular elements.
NOTE! Never place stones on top of the side air
chambers. This will obstruct air circulation, causing
the unit to overheat and the cut-out switch to activate.
Prior to each use
Check the following.
Check that:
• therearenoforeignobjectsinthesaunacabin,onorinthe
heater.
• thedoorandanywindowstothesaunacabinareclosed.
• the sauna door opens outwards with a little pressure.
NOTE
DANGER! Touching the upper parts of the heater
may cause burn injuries. TylöHelo recommends
always using the heater screen.
DANGER! Saunas are not recommended for pe-
ople in poor health. Please consult a doctor.
DANGER! Covering the heater may cause a re.
DANGER! Fragrant essences and similar pro-
ducts may ignite if poured undiluted into the
stone compartment.
DANGER! Never allow children to play near the
heater.

Switch on the heater to remove any new paint odours
To remove new paint odour from the heater:
Turnthethermostatdialhalfwaythroughtheheatscaleandlet
the heater warm up for about one hour.
Alittlesmokemayappear.

lity or little experience or knowledge of how to use
the equipment (e.g. children) must be instructed or
supervised by someone responsible for their safety.

other than taking saunas.

• Inspect the sauna cabin before restarting the heater
• Inspect the sauna cabin before putting the heater in
standby mode for delayed start
