Why won't the motors on my TYPHOON Q500 4K Quadcopters start?
    • R
      ramosdonnaAug 15, 2025
If the TYPHOON motors won’t start, it could be due to several reasons. The LED might indicate a compass error. The TYPHOON might be in a No Fly Zone, in which case you should move at least 4 miles away, as most major airports are no fly zone areas. It could also be above 8,000 feet above MSL; move it below this altitude. The motor start-up procedure might be incorrect, so review the correct procedure in the manual. The TYPHOON might be too close to a metal object or surface; move it away. Finally, a component might have failed; connect your TYPHOON to the GUI to check the system.

What to do if my TYPHOON Q500 4K Quadcopters pulses red and won't start?
    • J
      Jason HannaAug 21, 2025
If the TYPHOON pulses red and won't start, a component might be disconnected, failed, or not assigned properly; connect to the GUI to locate the problem. The U.S. Government might have raised the threat level; wait for the threat level to be reduced before flying. Vibration levels might be high, indicated by shaky landing gear; check to ensure propellers are not bent, nicked, or damaged in any way, and replace damaged propellers if needed.

Why does my TYPHOON Q500 4K beep constantly and the motors won't start?
    • K
      Kevin MillerAug 25, 2025
If the TYPHOON beeps constantly and the motors won't start, it is possibly in EMERGENCY Mode, potentially due to an obstructed propeller during motor start-up. Check that nothing is obstructing any propeller or motor, then turn the TYPHOON off and back on again.

How to fix a TYPHOON Quadcopters that will not initialize?
    • K
      Katherine ReidAug 28, 2025
If the TYPHOON will not initialize, it might be because it was moved during the initialization process. Turn the TYPHOON off and then back on again, ensuring it does not move during initialization.

Why are the GPS functions not operating properly on my TYPHOON Q500 4K Quadcopters?
    • T
      Thomas SmithAug 31, 2025
If the TYPHOON GPS functions are not operating properly, it is likely because a GPS lock has not been acquired. Make sure the GPS antenna has a clear view of the sky and that a GPS lock has been acquired.

Why won't my TYPHOON Q500 4K hold its position in hover?
    • S
      Stephen RamseySep 4, 2025
If the TYPHOON won’t hold position in hover, it's likely due to a weak GPS signal. Confirm that the flying area has 100 degrees of clear view of the sky.

What causes reduced GPS precision in my TYPHOON Q500 4K?
    • F
      frossSep 7, 2025
If the TYPHOON GPS has reduced precision, the GPS module might be damaged; call Technical Support for replacement. Alternatively, the compass might have been exposed to a magnet; move the TYPHOON away from the magnetic source. If the problem persists, calibrate the compass.

What to do if the flight battery of my TYPHOON Q500 4K will not charge (red LED on charger glows solid red)?
    • A
      Adrienne MasonSep 12, 2025
If the flight battery will not charge and the red LED on the charger glows solid red, there might be a poor connection between the Smart Charger and the flight battery. Check your connections on both the Smart Charger and the flight battery, and check the fuse on the Smart Charger.

Why won't the GPS lock on my TYPHOON Q500 4K Quadcopters (ST10+ indicates GPS Disabled)?
    • E
      Erik FloresNov 17, 2025
If the TYPHOON GPS will not lock and the ST10+ indicates GPS Disabled, it could be due to several reasons. Overcast, thick clouds might be blocking GPS reception, so wait for lighter cloud cover or disable GPS. Solar flares might be in progress, so wait for the disturbance to subside or disable GPS. The TYPHOON might be indoors, so move it outside or disable GPS. Objects might be blocking 100 degrees of clear view of the sky, in which case you can disable GPS, though flying indoors/disabling GPS is not recommended. The TYPHOON might be underneath a metallic or glass cover, inside a vehicle, or near tall buildings, so move it to a clear and open area. A video transmitter might be nearby, so reposition or remove it. Finally, the U.S. government might have raised the threat level, so wait for...
