ENGINE OIL LEVEL
CAUTION
The exhaust system is hot immediately after the engine is
shut down. Use caution not to get burnt.
DIPSTICK
FILL PORT
The engine oil level dipstick is located at the right side of the
engine. Remove the dipstick, clean the rod and reinstall. Pull it out
again and check the oil level. The level should be within the range
between the “High” and “Low” marks on the dipstick.
NOTE
Engine oil level check should be performed with the truck
parked on a level surface before starting the engine. You
cannot know the correct oil level immediately after the engine
is shut down. Wait for about 10 minutes before checking the oil
level.
Use caution not to get burnt
When releasing the pressure, use a thick rag. (Avoid putting
on gloves since you might get burnt on your hand if hot water
splashes on it. Do not peep into the ll port; it is dangerous.)

Check the fan belt for proper tension and cracks or damage.
The fan belt should have a deection of about 8 to 12 mm midway
between the water pump pulley and generator pulley when
pressed by a nger pressure of about 98 N (10 kgf).
