Sequencer Controls and Indicators
The following controls and indicators are located on the sequencer section of
the Radial 8 machine.
Palm Switch
Interlock Push Button
STOP Push Button
START Push
Button
Emergency Stop Switch (E-Stop)
Use the palm switch, to affect the machine as follows.
Push to Stop: When the E-Stop switch is pushed, the machine stops
immediately. The dump solenoid is deactivated which removes all
pneumatic power (except for the covers and clinch assembly) and
electrical power from the servo motors. The palm switch should
only be used to stop the machine in emergency situations when an
immediate stop is required.
Rotate to Start: When the E-Stop switch is rotated to the start
position, the pneumatic system and servo motors are enabled. After
initial deactivation of the palm switch (rotate to start position), the
INTERLOCK push button must be pushed to activate pneumatic
and servo power. Then the machine must be zeroed before normal
operation can begin.
WARNING
The operator MUST use STOP to stop the machine under normal
operating conditions. E-Stop should only be used to stop the machine
in EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
