Intended Audience
This manual is intended for use by the machine operator. It contains
information that assists the person responsible for setting up machine
production.
Before performing any operation function, the person responsible for
performing the function must become familiar with the contents of this
manual.
Safety Considerations
CAUTION
Warning and Caution notices are presented throughout this manual where
personal safety or machine integrity are felt to be at risk. The machine
operator should not rely solely on these notices, but should exercise caution
and use safe work habits whenever working with this machine.
WARNING
Lockout/Tagout Procedure
1. Power down the machine and perform Lockout/Tagout according to
local procedures.
WARNING
The machine must be powered down and the local Lockout/Tagout
procedure performed to ensure personal safety during this procedure.
WARNING
Do not operate the machine with the covers open.
Do not defeat the machine interlocks.
CAUTION
The Earth Bonding Points (EBP) are for Electro-Static Discharge (ESD)
wrist straps only. They are not to be used as equipment grounds.
Functional Description
After the programming information, pertaining to the component and printed
circuit board (PCB), is written into the pattern programs and the machine is
powered up and zeroed, a PCB is placed and clamped into a workboard
holder. This is done either manually or automatically depending upon
machine configuration.
