In this topic please follow any point step by step. Try the first recommended solution,
examine the result then continue with the next step.
1. I cannot reach V-Count device through “ping”.
• Check the network settings of the device. It can have been changed by the
system integrator.
• Retrieve the device to its default settings by Reset Procedure and Factory
Settings.
• There can be a problem with the network connection of the device. Control the
cable connections.
• Unplug and Plug in the power cable of the device.
• Check network in case of any IP conflict between devices.
2. Live Stream does not show frames from the device.
• Control LED status. Act according to the failure indicated there.
o If LED2 is green:
▪ Try with a different web browser. Do not use Internet Explorer
or Edge at any step. Use only Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
▪ Reboot the device from web interface
o If LED2 is red
▪ Reboot the device from web interface
▪ Power off/on the device
• Check the power connections:
o Be sure about not extending the DC side of the adaptor.
o Check the Cat5/6 cable about not extending the limits of the cable
length.
• Check the adaptor regarding the possible damages of it.
• Change the adaptor.
3. Server time is not the real time.
• Check internet connection.
• Check the IP/Gateway addresses of the device
• Check Time Zone
• Control whether the ports being used by the device are being used by a
software or not, or if it is closed by the firewall.
4. The system worked fine and counted without any mistake; after a while it has started
to miscount.
• Clean the camera lens. There can be dust on the camera.
