Replacing the LMM101 Cover Frame
Assembly
CAUTION
The servicing of the equipment must be performed by
qualified personnel only.
CAUTION
The mains (AC) power switch and the optional battery
backup switch must always be turned off before attempting
any service actions described in this section.
NOTE
When replacing the LMM101 assembly, do not let water or
moisture to enter the unit.
Order a spare assembly with the code LMM101 (Cover
Frame Assembly) from Vaisala or its nearest representative.
The spare part contains the front cover with heaters
(LM211244), the optics (LM211246), and the Luminance
Measurement Board (LMB201). The LMM101 assembly
has been calibrated at the factory and is easy to replace
following the instructions below:
1. Disconnect the power from LM21 by disconnecting it
from the power supply.
2. Open the four screws on the cover frame assembly of
LM21.
3. To avoid damaging the calibrator connector inside the
measurement head, gently open the left side (with the
label) of the LMM101 assembly and lift it upwards
pulling out the assembly together with the attached
measurement board. Disconnect the signal and power
cable from the board. See Figure 10 on page 43.
