2. How to Align Patients
2.1. How to Align Patients on Panoramic unit
① Take off or remove any glasses, earring, hairpin, oral device or false teeth that the patient
wears.
② Have the patient wears protective clothing. It is recommended that the patient wears protective
clothing for protection against radiation.
③ Adjust the height of system to fit to patient using column Up /
Down switch.
④ Have the patient stand at the center of the system at upright position.
It is better if the patient comes closer to the system as much as possible.
⑤ Have the patient hold the handle. The patient may slowly fall down backward when he / she
does not hold the handle.
⑥ Put hygiene cover (disposal bag) on the Bite and have the patient bit the reference hole with
front teeth.
⑦ If you press the Position Button on LCD panel, 3 beams appear on the face of the patient. 3
beams serve as a standard for correct posture of the patient. It can be also checked in LCD
panel.
⑧ Adjust the position of the patient so that vertical Laser Beam accurately bisects the face of the
patient and is located at the center of the patient's face.
