Version 1.03.0000
8. TROUBLESHOOTING
The PCB 1500 is able to indicate malfunctions and incorrect use.
The messages are displayed and an acoustic alarm is raised or transmitted via USB for remote communication.
8.1. Acoustic Alarm
The PCB 1500 will send an acoustic alarm if either a leakage was detected or another failure occurs.
8.2. Water Level Alarm
The PCB 1500 is equipped with a “water level” sensor which detects even small leakages.
After the leakage is signalled on the PCB 1500 press the “RESET ALARM” button and remove the leakage
immediately by checking all connections and ll up the system with distilled water.
8.3. Other System Alarms
The following alarms are available:
• Cell temperature too high
• Radiator temperature too high
• Cell temperature sensor failure
• EEPROM memory failure
If one of these alarms is activated, the PCB-1500 will signal the failure by an acoustic signal and display the
corresponding message on the display.
Action: Switch off the instrument immediately!
If the failure does not disappear after the instrument is switched on again, contact your VICI DBS service
technician.
IMPORTANT: The PCB 1500 is already lled with distilled water. After connecting the
tubing, the water level in the tank will drop and water must be relled. Use distilled
water supplied in a separate 200 ml container inside the packaging to rell the water
in the unit.
