3. SAFETY
3.1 Personal Safety Instructions
When using your PCB 1500, basic safety precautions should always be followed. This equipment has been
designed with emphasis on QUALITY, RELIABILITY and SAFETY, and we will accept responsibility for these
aspects only if the following conditions are met:
• Check the voltage selector
• Always disconnect the main plug before starting any work inside the instrument
• The power Set the temperature to the required values on power on
• If using substances dangerous for health and the environment, observe the laws and the
standards in force in the laboratory where this instrument is used
• If using ammable or explosive substances take the necessary precautions
3.2 Instrument Safety Instructions
• Electrical installation of the room or building in which the equipment is to be used must
comply with regulations specied in the country where the equipment is to be used.
• The equipment must be used in accordance with the instructions for use provided by
VICI DBS.
• All modications and repairs to the equipment must be carried out by VICIDBS or its
authorised Agents.
• Modications must not be carried out unless they conform to approved Engineering
Service Information issued according to the appropriate VICIDBS procedure.
• The equipment installation must be carried out in accordance with local requirements for
responsibility and warranty.
