6.11 How do I change the cylinder convention?
• In the configuration screen.
• Click on the settings button
The Configuration screen is displayed (refer to Overview of the configuration Tabs).
• Select Measurement settings 1.
• Select negative or positive cylinder convention, or select +/- to set the sign of he cylinder to match the
sign of sphere equivalent.
Note: the convention you choose in the settings is the default convention when you start the device. You can
change the convention at any moment in the main screen.
• In the main screen
• In the bottom toolbar of the main screen, press the CYL button.
• Select negative or positive cylinder convention, or select Auto to set the
sign of the cylinder to match the sign of the sphere equivalent.
The icon on the left is he selected one.
6.12 How do I change lens type?
The vx36 unit automatically detects the lens type, but in order to save some time, you can manually change the
lens type.
In the configuration screen
Click on the settings button .
The Configuration screen is displayed (refer to Overview of the Configuration Tabs).
• Select the Measurement settings 1.
• Select the measurement mode: Auto (the unit automatically identifies whether it is a single or
progressive lenses).
Note: the measurement mode you choose in the settings is the default mode when you start the device. You
can change the measurement mode at any moment in the main screen.
