In the main screen
• In the bottom toolbar of the main screen, press the Measurement mode button.
• Select the measurement mode: Auto , Simple , progressive Lens or Contact Lens
The icon on the left is the selected one.
6.13 How do I clear data?
• In the right toolbar of the main screen, press the clear button
The result is erased from the screen
6.14 How do I print our results?
Before printing, make sure that the printer is either set to the "On" or the "Auto" modes and that the right
printing mode (either normal or economic) is selected in the System tab of the Configuration screen (refer to
the Overview of the Configuration Tabs section).

6.15 How do I send data?
The RS-232C Data Communication feature allows measurement data to be sent to an external device, such as a
computer.
Whenever the Print button is pressed, data is sent to the RS-232C port regardless of
the Printer mode setting. If you would like to disable the built-in printer to use the RS
232C port only, turn the Print mode Off (refer to the How do I print out results?
section).

• Connect the VX36 unit to the target device (phoropter, computer) using a serial cable connection or
via a wireless connection like: RS-232 cable or RS 232 to Bluetooth adaptor.
