Troubleshooting
You may encounter some of the following common problems while working with the VX36. If you do, try
following the suggested solutions listed. If the problem persists and the suggested solution does not remedy it,
contact a qualified service representative or your local distributor.
Problem
Suggested Solutions
Activity indicator is off
Check if the unit is efficiently connected to the electrical system.
Initialization error
Check the lens support, press the power button to restart
the unit.
Initialization error UV
Check the lens support, press the power button to restart the unit
Measurement Error
Check the lens support, press the power button to restart
the unit.
Printer Error
Open the print paper door and release the paper, in case
of paper jam.
Replace the paper roll, in case of shortage.
Communication
Error
Check if the RS-232 cable is efficiently plugged to both
the unit and the connected instrument.
Check if the connected instrument is switched on.
Lens is placed
upside down
Place the lens in the correct position.
SPH Overflow Error
Check the power of the measured lens.
CYL Overflow Error
Check the power of the measured lens.
Prism Overflow
Error
Check the power of the measured lens
ADD Overflow
Error.
Check the power of the measured lens.
Center Overflow
Error.
Adjust the position of the lens or remove it.
CMOS Error
There is an internal failure, please contact your local
distributor.
