9.2 Installing the pump
9.2.1 Installation position

The Voith internal gear pump can be installed in any position. If using the appropri-
ate seal ange, it can even be installed horizontally in the tank. Regardless of this,
the motor manufacturer’s regulations on the installation position of the electric motor
must be observed.
Pump combinations must be installed without voltage. There must be no forces
acting on the ange connections of the pump housing.
9.2.2 Initial preparations
The suction side (large cross-section) and the pressure side (small cross-section)
of the pump are each sealed with plastic plugs. Remove the plastic plugs!
CAUTION
!
The pump still contains mineral oil from the test run.
• The information in the manufacturer’s safety data sheets must strictly be
observed!
• Mineral oil must be disposed of in accordance with regulations.
• Clean the internal gear pump if the pressure uid is not allowed to be mixed
with mineral oil.
