17.8 Filtration
This section provides information about the lter elements to be used.
A vital prerequisite in ensuring a long service life and trouble-free operation of the
hydraulic system is the careful ltration of the pressure uid.
Contamination level:
• Max. permitted contamination:
according to NAS 1638 class 8.
according to ISO 4406 code 19/17/14.
• To ensure a longer service life, we recommend lter:
according to 1638 class 7 or superior.
according to ISO 4406 Code 18/16/13.
• We recommend a lter with a minimum retention rate of ß
10
> 100.
Note:
•
The lter or lter elements must be maintained on a regular basis and replaced if
necessary.
•
To monitor correct functionality, the lters must be tted with an optical, or better
an electrical contamination display.
