10.6 Commissioning of IPVPX pumps
Apart from the above commissioning of internal gear pumps, it is necessary to con-
sider further steps in the type IPVPX (Atex internal gear pumps with temperature
sensor for control of ignition source).
1. Mounting of the temperature sensor
The temperature sensor is packed separately and supplied with mounting screw,
lock washer and thermal grease and must be mounted.
At mounting please note: the contact surface must be degreased and cleaned befo-
re wetting with the thermal compound. The fastening screw M4x16 must be tighte-
ned with a torque of 5 Nm.
The electrical connection must be made according to the specications of the ope-
rating instructions of the sensor.

Overheating, incineration, explosion
In speed-controlled operation in load holding mode, the pump may over-
heat.
• Don't operate the pump outside the permitted operating range.
