2.8 Removing and installing key-operated
switch to deactivate front passenger
side airbag
The key-operated switch for deactivating the front passenger side
airbag - E224- is located in the cover on the side of the dash panel
on the front passenger side.
WARNING
♦ Danger of the triggering of the airbag!
♦ Improper action on airbag unit may result in the triggering
of the airbag!
♦ Observe safety precautions when working on airbag.
Note
When removing and installing components that are in view
(switches, covers, trim and so on), mask off areas in which tools
( removal wedge - VAS 3409- , screwdriver) are used to lever out
those components using commercially available masking tape.
