Road finisher brake parameters
The speed to which the function is active must first be set (max. 10km/h). Then the
pressure test for actuating the braking pressure p
m
of the application pressure to a
maximum 6.5 bar is applied, parameter road finisher brake.
You can define whether the actuated braking pressure is adjusted depending on
the load during road finisher operation (dynamic LSV).
If a SmartBoard is installed, one switching input can be dispensed with by activat-
ing the function solely via the SmartBoard.
The road finisher braking pressure can also be adjusted by means of
the parking brake in the towing vehicle, without a SmartBoard.
In the pressure range to be set, the spring-type actuator in the towing
vehicle is not yet exhausted so that the parking brake only generates a
braking force in the trailer.
To increase the braking pressure, the pressure must be adjusted
slowly using the lever, which is then released suddenly.
The system detects the manual setting through the high pressure gra-
dient thus produced, saves this value and adjusts the pressure accord-
ingly.
To reduce the value, the current value must be briefly exceeded using
the lever before it is gradually released again. This value is deleted
again following an ignition reset.
Road finisher brake = Mechanical switch
Parameters for deactivating the unloading level can be set in the TEBS E Diagnos-
tic Software.
A 2 pole proximity switch can be connected (connection to GIO 4, pins 1 and 3,
cable 449 535 ... 0).
