4.4 Recommended Fuel (Kohler)
The engine requires No. 2 diesel fuel. Use only fresh, clean fuel. Fuel containing
water or dirt will damage the fuel system. Consult the engine owner’s manual for
complete fuel specifications.
4.5 Refueling the Machine
Requirements  Machine shut down
 Engine cool
 Machine/fuel tank level with the ground
 Fresh, clean fuel supply
Procedure Perform the procedure below to refuel the machine.
1. Remove the fuel cap (a).
2. Fill the fuel tank until the fuel level reaches level point (b) at the base of the fuel
tank opening. An expansion cavity above level point (b) is provided for proper
operation of the venting port (c).
3. Reinstall the fuel cap.
Result The procedure to refuel the machine is now complete.
WARNING
Fire hazard. Fuel and its vapors are extremely flammable. Burning fuel can cause
severe burns.
f Keep all sources of ignition away from the machine while refueling.
f Refuel only when the machine is outdoors.
f Clean up spilled fuel immediately.

tank can lead to spills and leaks.
f Do not modify, bypass, or remove the venting port.
