Performing preparations
Note: Change oil when the engine is lukewarm so that the oil can completely run
out.
1. Place the machine upright on a flat surface.
2. Open both protective hoods.
3. Deactivate the machine.
4. Lay out impermeable sheet over the workspace to protect the ground from
the oil.
5. Have a collection container of sufficient size ready.
Draining engine oil and changing oil filter
1. Place the collection container under the oil filter.
1. Unscrew and remove the oil filter.
Collect the emerging oil while unscrewing the filter.
2. Place the collection container under the oil drain plug.
3. Loosen the oil drain plug.
4. Once the oil has completely drained out, screw in and fasten the oil drain
plug.
5. Screw in a new oil filter and tighten it by hand.
Note: Dispose of the oil in accordance with the applicable environmental regu-
lations.
Pouring in engine oil
1. Remove dirt around the oil cap.
2. Remove oil cap.
3. Pour oil into the opening with a funnel until the upper mark is reached on the
oil level dipstick (see chapter Technical data for oil specification and amount).
4. Replace and fasten oil cap.
5. Wipe off any spilled oil.
6. Let the engine run for a short while.
7. Switch off the engine.
8. Check oil level and fill oil if necessary.
Note: Dispose of the oil in accordance with the applicable environmental regu-
lations.
