The data of the projects are stored in FLASH of the programmer. When the user downloads a project in a
programmer, the free space of the FLASH will decrease. In order to extend the life of FLASH, the space
storing the data of a project is not released after user deletes this project. The size of free space is displayed
in “StandAlone” dialog. To release the space of the FLASH, click “Format” button. The programmer will format
the FLASH, and the user can use whole space of it.
CAUTION: Format operation will delete all data of projects in the programmer.
9.2 Stand_alone Operation
9.2.1 Power On the programmer
Connect the power line to the programmer. Do not connect the USB line. Open the switch of the
programmer. After the programmer initiating itself, it is in “Chip Programming” status. Users can operate the
programmer now. At this time, the first line of LCD displays device of the enabled project. At the second line,
after “#” symbol, LCD displays the number of chips that has been programmed. If target count of the enabled
project is not zero, there will be another “#” symbol and the target count will display in the middle of the
second line. If there is no enabled project, these two lines will display the type of programmer.
9.2.2 Adjust Screen Center
Open the programmer and press the “←” key, then the programmer will display “adjust screen center”
interface. Press the “ENTER” key, the programmer will begin to adjust the center of the screen. Press the
“ESC” key to quit. When adjust the screen center, the screen will display a rectangle. Press
the“↑”“↓”“←”“→”key to adjust the rectangle to the center of the screen. Press the “ENTER” key to save the
new position and quit. Press the “ESC” key to quit without save.
9.2.3Adjust Touch Screen
Open the programmer and press the “→” key, then the programmer will display “adjust touch screen”
interface. Press the “ENTER” key, the programmer will begin to adjust the touch screen. Press the “ESC” key
to quit. After pressing the “ENTER” key, the programmer will display “x” on the screen. Press the “x”, then the
programmer will display a new “x” on the screen. Repeat this five times to finish adjusting the touch screen.
9.2.4 Programming Chips
When the programmer is at “Chip Programming” status, it can write chips. Press “Run” button on the
programmer. The programmer will begin to write chips. The LCD will display "Programming..." to show that
the programmer is working. When programming is successful, LCD displays "Finish!". If fail, it will display
"Fail!".
About ISP208/SP108, after all the chips insert well, press “Run” button on the programmer. The
programmer will begin to write chips. Eight LED begin to work. After all the chips programmer completely, put
on other new chips then write again.
9.2.5 Display Project Information
When the programmer is at “Chip Programming” status, press the “ENTER” key of the keyboard(or click
on the touch screen). If the programmer stores a project, it will be in “Display Project List” status. The LCD
will display the project information saved in the programmer. The serial number of current project and the
