4.8.3 Control air
Control air supply system
Control air is supplied from the board instrument air supply system (see Figure
4-52,  4-86) providing air at 8 bar gauge pressure (within a range of 7.0-9.0bar).
The air quality should comply with the compressed air purity class 5-4-3 ac-
cording to ISO 8573-1 (2010-04-15).
Control air consumption
The required control air flow capacities are shown in Table 4-14. These data can
be used for sizing the relevant engine external piping and facilities.

4.8.4 Service and working air
Service and working air for driving air powered tools and assisting in the
cleaning of the scavenge air cooler(s) is also provided by the board instrument air
supply system.
