WingtraOne 40MP RX1 - Troubleshooting
Q: The images are over or underexposed.
Check whether you use the memory recall function 2 with the correct default settings, see RX1 chapter.
Check whether the EV correction dial is set to +-0 EV.
Q: The images look blurry
The focus is not set to infinity. To set the focus distance correctly, power on the WingtraOne. Make sure that the camera is in Manual Focus mode (see RX1 chapter)
and turn the Focus Ring on the lens such that the focus indicator on the display just reaches infinity at the right edge. Continuously turning further will make the image
blurry again.
Check whether camera is in none macro mode.
Q: The camera does not keep the adjusted settings after repowering WingtraOne
To store camera capture settings permanently the camera has to be turned off and on again via the On/Off switch. Depowering the WingtraOne directly cuts the
power of the camera and does not keep time to save settings.
Q: The geotagging process lasts very long
The file size of individual images taken with the RX1R2 is up to 25MB (for quality setting "extra fine" up to 40MB, for RAW+jpeg up to 45MB+25MB). For large
projects with high overlaps that results in project sizes up to 40GB of image data (for default settings). Handling this amount of data on the tablet can take up to 60min
of processing time.
We recommend using image quality settings "fine" as defined in the RX1 chapter).
Q: No images are taken
No SD card was inserted during flight.
The SD card adapter is locked (small slider on adapter on "lock").
The On/Off switch is on Off.
Image Database Recovery Shows Up. See Q: Image Database Recovery Shows Up).
Q: Image Database Recovery Shows Up
If folders other than the project folders created by geotagging are deleted from the SD card it may happen that image database recovery mode is coming up when the
camera is powered on. This prevents the camera from taking images.
To recover from the error state confirm the dialog and power on the camera off and on again using the on/off switch. Alternatively you can reformate the SD card if
you do not require any data on the card anymore.
To prevent the problem delete only the project folders created during geotagging or reformat the entire SD card (this will delete all data on the SD card).
Q: Can I take and tag RAW images?
WingtraOne RX1RII can take raw images. Please see section RX1 chapter to configure the camera correctly. Note that you need to take jpeg and RAW images at same
time because the geotagging functionality relies on the presence of .jpeg files.
Geotagging images in the WingtraPilot app will not write geolocation information to the raw files but export a .csv file containing the geolocation information for each
individual image once this option is selected while geotagging. Because the amount of data to be saved is large the minimal GSD recommended when taking RAW
images is 2.1cm/px (@75% frontal overlap).
