1.3 Measuring procedure / general use
1.3.1 Basic set-up of the inclination measuring instruments / plus - minus rule
The instrument should always be placed in a way that the cable output is on the right hand side
.
Inclined to the right: positive
Declined to the right: negative
(Practical remark: positive values
indicate that some material may be
removed on the measured piece)
Before starting the measurement enough acclimatization time must be allowed for the instruments.
Place the instrument (LEVELTRONIC or MINILEVEL) carefully to the required measuring spot. (Surface) and
read the value on the LEVELMETER or on the integrated display.
It is important to measure always in the direction of the cable connector, respectively the cable.
Example: Flatness measurement of a surface plate
IMPORTANT
:
Touch the instruments only at
the handle (Temperature!!!)
Measuring from left to right and
from close to far.
Cable in measuring
direction
