4. Locate the Free rollers in the underside of the ADF door. Wipe the Free rollers from side to side.
Rotate the rollers downward to clean the entire surface of each roller.
5. Locate the Drive rollers in the body of the ADF. There are two pairs of drive rollers, make sure to
clean both sets.
6. Wipe the Drive rollers from side to side. Rotate the rollers downward to clean the entire surface of
each roller.
The Drive rollers are held tightly in place and they are hard to rotate. Rotate gently by pressing
firmly on the roller and rotating the roller in a downward direction.
7. Close the cover when you’re finished.
Cleaning the Scanner Glass
To ensure the best quality scanned item, wipe the scanner glass with a soft, dry, clean cloth to rid the
glass of dust or other debris.
