6. The scanner will pull the pages through as it sets the adjustment. This window will automatically close when
the initial adjustment is complete.
7. Depending on your scanner model, you may be prompted to put 3 sheets of clean white paper in the scanner.
Place the pages in the scanner when prompted and then click on OK.
8. Click on OK to complete the line reduction adjustment.
Restoring the Default Adjustment
You can reset the vertical line reduction adjustment to the factory default setting if completing an adjustment does
not improve the image quality.
1. Open the scanner User Utility application.
2. On the main window click on the Vertical Line Reduction... button.
3. Click on the Restore Default button.
4. Click on OK to restore the factory default adjustment.
5. When the adjustment has been restored, click on OK to close the User Utility restore window.
