Operation and Software Configuration
INTERNET DEFAULT
DOMAIN SUFFIX
Specifies the default domain-name specification, which the
terminal server uses to develop a complete (fully-qualified)
domain-name, whenever the user specifies an incomplete
domain-name. The terminal server appends the suffix to the
incomplete domain-name. Specify the domain-name-suffix,
beginning with a period character (.). The domain-name-
suffixes must not end with a period character. Do not enclose
the name in quotation marks. Separate each domain-name
suffix with the vertical bar character (|). The default domain-
name for this characteristic is "" (i.e., the null value).
The maximum total characters of all names together,
including vertical bars '|' and dots '.', cannot exceed 115
characters. The entire command line cannot exceed 132
characters. Each domain-name is limited to a maximum of
50 characters. One of the suffixes may be "no suffixes"
which is specified by a single dot. The keyword NONE
indicates no suffixes.
Example domain-name-suffix list: .XYPLEX.COM|.EDU

SECONDARY DOMAIN
ADDRESS
Specifies the internet-address at which a Domain Name
Server is located. (Domain Name Servers are network hosts
where the server attempts to resolve a domain-name.) The
terminal server can use up to two Domain Name Servers
(primary and secondary) to resolve a domain-name. The
terminal server will use the secondary Domain server to
resolve a domain-name if it cannot do so using the primary
Domain server. Default: 0.0.0.0.
Example:
Xyplex>> DEFINE SERVER INTERNET PRIMARY DOMAIN ADDRESS 128.3.0.15
Specifies the internet-address at which a TCP/IP gateway
can be located. The terminal server can use up to two Internet
gateways (primary and secondary) to locate a device on an
external network. The terminal server will first attempt to
use the primary gateway to route a transmission to a remote
device until it determines that the primary gateway has
failed. Then the terminal server will use the secondary
gateway. Default: 0.0.0.0.
