What to do if my XYZ Machine Tools Industrial Equipment has an E-Stop error?

  If your XYZ Machine Tools Industrial Equipment is showing an E-Stop error, consider the following: * Press the E-Stop reset button on the side of the pendant. * Check the cable connections from the computer module to the E-Stop switch and test the E-Stop switch for functionality. * Check if 110 V power comes out of the cable breakout box power cord on the pendant. If yes, and the screen has an E-stop message, then replace the pendant. * Check the spindle control cable connection at the pendant and spindle control box. * Verify the E-Stop jumper in the electrical box on the spindle control module is correct.

  If your XYZ Machine Tools Industrial Equipment spindle motor hums or will not run, check the following: * The voltage may be wrong. Check the 415V voltage to the machine. * There may be poor wiring connections. Check all wiring connections to the electric box. * Defective cable connections. * The spindle motor may be bad. Check the resistance of the spindle motor windings on the spindle motor between L1 & L2, L2 & L3, and L1 & L3, using an ohmmeter.

  If your XYZ Machine Tools Industrial Equipment system will not turn on, check these items: * Ensure the 110 V line is plugged in to the electrical cabinet. * Verify the Pendant On/Off switch is in the On position. * Check for blown fuses in the pendant or electrical cabinet; remove fuses and check continuity. * Check the 110 V Transformer output. * The computer/pendant may have failed.

  If your XYZ Machine Tools Industrial Equipment system shuts off, check the following: * A fuse may be blown in the pendant. Remove the fuse and check its continuity. * The incoming 415 VAC may be too high, too low, or not present. Check the incoming 415 VAC to the machine using a voltmeter. * There may be poor wiring and cable connections. Check for any loose wiring. * The flash disk may have failed. Remove and reseat the flash disk, located inside the computer module. * Check the 110 V Transformer output. * The computer/pendant may have failed.
