POWER TiRAIN -Chain Case and Front Axle Removal
The right-hand axle housing is held in place by three bolts
(10 mm). At this time, remove the bolts from the frame
and
pull off the housing.

Place the snowmobile with the left side up.
Bend the
lock washer flat, and remove th e bo lt.
Then, either the sproc ket or the c ha in ca se ca n be removed.
The sprocket
is splined to th e journal .
When removing
the chain ca se, th e front axle sho uld be
shifted to the right as much as possible for ea sy removal.

end of the axle, pull
it free of its housing on the right-hand
si d e, and pull the right end of the sh aft backward and

ow nward sliding the sh aft fr ee. It is most I ikely that the
tr ack wi ll dr op out as the axle is bei ng remo ve d.
This completes the remov
al of the fr o nt axle a ss embly from
th e fr ame.
