POWER TRAIN -Bogie Wheels, Rear Axle Removal
3-5 BOGIE WHEELS
3-5-1
Each set of bogie wheels is bolted to ears welded to th e
bottom of the chassis. Removal of these tw o bolts will
alloy the bogie wheel assembly to be taken out of th e
chassis.
The bolts are secured by lock washers.

The individual bog ie wheels are rivetted together and
cannot be disassembled; the bearings are se aled a nd not to
require lubrication.
If the unit is di sassembled all the metal to metal surfa ces
should be greased.
Precautionary Note:
If the snowmobile is i mmobile or stored for more than
a
week, the rear of the machine should be rais ed and
placed
on blocks. Th is wit I prevent the rubber bog ie
wheels from flattening under the we i ght of th e
machine.

an assem b ly from the fra me .
As you may understand
fr om the ii lustration, the re ar ax le

an n ot be removed fr om the dr ive track 1n this st ag e, and
th er efo re, e it her of the two pivot rear arms must be
removed. To remove,
lo ose n th ~ nut using a 26 mm soc ket
wrench, and remo
ve the nut.
