6. Adjustments
6.9.2 Needle guard (front)
(1) Loosen the screws ②③. (Fig. 6-29)
(2) Turn the handwheel clockwise until the looper tip
comes to the center of the left needle. Adjust the
height of the needle guard (front) ① so that the corner
of the needle guard (front) ① is 1.5 to 2.0 mm above
the needle tips. (Fig. 6-28)
(3) Adjust the clearance between the needle guard (front)
① and the right needle or the left needle to 0 to 0.3
mm respectively. (Fig. 6-30)
(4) Tighten the screws ②③ securely.
