It reports the logs with a configured severity
level and the higher. For example, if you have
configured the severity level of the log to be
reported to the this file to 4, then the log with
a severity level of 0 to 4 will all be reported.

You can enable local logging, specify the severity level, and choose to keep the log locally or upload the
local log files to the provisioning server. The local log files can be exported via web user interface
simultaneously.

Local Logging Configuration
The following table lists the parameters you can use to configure local logging.
It enables or disables the IP phone to record log locally.
Note: We recommend you not to disable this feature.
0-Disabled, the IP phone will stop recording log to the log files (<MAC>-boot.log and
<MAC>-sys.log) locally. The log files recorded before are still kept on the phone.
1-Enabled, the IP phone will continue to record log to the log files (<MAC>-boot.log
and <MAC>-sys.log) locally. You can upload the local log files to the provisioning
server or a specific server or export them to the local system.
Settings->Configuration->Enable Local Logging
It configures the lowest level of local log information to be rendered to the
<MAC>-sys.log file.
